OH MY GOD
SO
So lots of things have happened that you don't really care about, but the upshot of them is that my book is coming out this year (it's not Phantom-related, sorry), and I just left my day job...
...which means FREE TIME. Which means REVIEWS. YES.
I will be starting back up where I left off - with Stefanie Cole's The Phantom Returns - and good lord, I hope it's a better comeback than last time. Also, if you've sent me an email in the past five months, look for me to finally respond to it while pretending not to be the worst internet correspondent in history.
Until then!
Yay! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLooking forward to reading more reviews! (There are TONS more self-published phanfics on Amazon that I've spotted.)
ReplyDeleteJust sent you an email this weekend about something I saw on the Phantom Reviewer's YouTube channel...an independent "movie" (and I use the term generously) called "Angel of Music." It attempts (and that seems to be the correct word) to mash up the Phantom mythos with a DaVinci Code-esque thriller--with laughable production values and acting. Just from the summary and clips I saw in the review, I'd LOVE to see what you could make of it.
And congratulations, if I didn't already say so!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I look forward to seeing what's next!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hopefully we'll have some new fun reviews soon. :)

ReplyDeleteYou've been gone for so long! I hope everything is ok!
ReplyDeleteI know! I am okay, so don't worry. :)
DeleteBuuuut I did move the bulk of the site over here: http://phantomlibrary.com! This one's still here because I'm still working on porting over reviews and stuff, but that one will hopefully be up and running in the not thousands of years away future. (Also, there is one new review there, although I use "new" loosely because it was from October. But I hope for more soon.)
I'm pretty active on Tumblr, too, so you might be able to catch me over there. :)
Awesome! Thanks for responding!
DeleteHi Anne! I recently discovered your blog and I absolutely love it! I read your review of "The Phantom of the Muppet Theater" and upon looking for a copy for myself I discovered I book I think you should check out. It's called "Muppets Meet the Classics: The Phantom of the Opera". It's a surprisingly faithful retelling of Gaston Leroux's story—with Muppets! I really enjoyed it, an if you get the chance, you should look into it.
